Aroha Drinks Wild Rosehip Cordial is literally the drink for all seasons: in summer in a long glass with plenty of ice, then in winter as a delicious hot toddy (that's also really good for you!)
As well as being completly delicious, rose-hips are extremely high in vitamin C (as much as 5 times more than citrus!) The 'hip' is the fruit of the rose bush and, though not so well know today, it was particularly 'hip' in the 1940's and 50's when it was recommended to give to young children to keep them healthy through winter. Recent research out of Copenhagen University has shown that rose hips can reduce the pain from osteoarthritis up to 3 times more effectively that panadol!
Aroha Drinks Wild Rose-Hip Cordial is sourced out of Central Otago where, during autumn, the hills literally turn red with the little berries.
Completely delicious and not too sweet, this is the perfect 'day off' tipple too!
In Maori language "aroha" is a word maning love for the land and its people. In 2007 Mark, founder of Aroha, made his first batch of cordial which he made from wild elderflowers grown on the Canterbury plains. The company has gone from strength to strength over the years and now includes a number of cordials and a range of still juices - Milly's are huge fans and we're delighted to include Aroha Cordials in our range.
