Lodge Cast-Iron Cookware
Let’s talk about Lodge
Lodge has been crafting cast iron in South Pittsburg, Tennessee since 1896 - five generations of getting it right. Their pre-seasoned cookware arrives ready to use, improves with every cook, and genuinely lasts a lifetime. It’s the kind of gear you hand down, not throw out.
Finding the Right Piece
If you’re new to cast iron, a skillet is the place to start. It’ll handle everything from searing steaks to baking cornbread, and it moves from stovetop to oven without missing a beat. The 26cm is the sweet spot for most households, but the 30cm earns its place quickly if you’re cooking for a crowd.
From there, a Dutch oven opens up a whole world of slow braises, soups, and even bread baking. Add a griddle for weekend pancakes and bacon, and you’ve got a set that covers almost everything.
The Collections
- The classic Lodge Logic range is an everyday workhorse - affordable, indestructible, and proven over decades.
- If weight is a consideration, the Blacklock range uses a heritage casting technique that’s about 30% lighter without losing any of the well-known Lodge performance.
- The ergonomic handles of the Chef Collection offer improved control and easy-lifting, paired with spatula friendly sloped sidewalls. Plus a slightly lighter option than Lodge Logic (approx 15%).
Works Everywhere
Lodge cast iron performs beautifully on gas, electric, ceramic, and induction stovetops. It’s oven-safe to 260°C, perfect on the BBQ, and essential for campfire cooking.
