Emile Henry
Let's talk about Emile Henry
Emile Henry has been making ceramic bakeware in the same Burgundy workshops for more than 160 years, and the Henry family still owns it. Every piece is made from local Burgundy clay, with everything in the production natural, from clay to glaze. Plus, each piece is signed with the initials of the person who made it.
The little black dress of your kitchen
That's how we describe the Emile Henry bakers: equally at home in the oven as they are at the table. Pie dishes, deep flan and tart dishes, rectangular oven dishes that nest neatly in the cupboard, pieces that bake beautifully, shrug off scratches and chips, and look so good you'll serve straight from them.
Gentle heat, better flavour
The High Resistance ceramic diffuses heat slowly and evenly, which is what makes these dishes so forgiving, pastry browns properly, gratins cook through without catching, and everything holds its warmth at the table.
There are bread bakers and pizza stones for the artisan bakers too, plus butter dishes and oil cruets to keep your storage just how you like it.
