This gorgeous cloth will be your new go-to for all manner of spills and clean-ups around the kitchen. One side is a beautiful Yuzen dye, and the other is a white mosquito net fabric. The supple texture makes it perfect for cleaning thoroughtly and is suitable for use not only as a dishcloth, but also for other purposes such as hand towels.

Rayon is a recycled fiber made from wood pulp that biodegrades and returns to nature. It has better moisture absorption and release properties than cotton or linen, and is less likely to retain odours, making it ideal for dish towels.
Shirayuki Dishcloths use Starch paste made from Satsuma sweet potatoes produced in Kagoshima to keep them pristine when in transit.
- Soak your new cloth in hot water thoroughly before use. The fabric will become soft once the starch has been removed.
- Although it is a patterned product, it can be used with non-chlorine bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.
It is in Nara that Shirayuki had been engaged in mosquito net manufacturing for many years, the company began making dishcloths from remnants of mosquito nets for personal use, and this is how the mosquito nets fabric dishcloths began.
