Established in 1859 in Celles-sur-Durolle by Antoine Delignère, the history of Verdier cutlery and its family is rooted in the region. André Verdier has been making knives in France since 1859 — not mass-produced, not outsourced, but genuinely, proudly made in France. Their manufacturing sits in Celles-sur-Durolle, near Thiers, which has been the French cutlery capital for over six centuries. Six generations of the Verdier family have worked here, and that continuity shows in every blade.
