Create wonderful cupcake decorations as well as larger cake decorations. Each cutter works by cutting out the outline of the Butterfly whilst you press the integral plunger to add the veined, embossed finish. These veined effect in the plunger means that you can create a detailed, embossed effect butterfly in seconds. For added dimension, once dry, brush with lustre dusts to add colour and sparkle.
The plastic butterfly plunger cutter can be used with fondant, florist / petal paste, marzipan etc. The butterfly plunger set comes in 3 different sizes, 30mm, 39mm and 46mm wide.
How to use the butterfly cutter:
The butterflies cutters are really easy to use; simply roll out your fondant or gum paste etc, press down the plunger to cut out the butterfly out and press and eject using the plunger. To obtain a finer finish use a ball tool to soften the edges.
Extra detail can be added by rolling a small amount of fondant or gum paste in a long sausage shape and fixing it to the centre of the butterfly to make the body. Secure the body in place with edible glue.
Feelers can also be added by using a stamen, cut in half.
Let the butterflies fly away - simply dry the butterflies in the desired shape in a piece of folded tinfoil.
