The Damascus type pattern emerges during the initial hand grinding process and is completed with tiny beads of glass being blasted at the steel to produce a stunning finish.

The Shun Classic Chefs Knife is shaped in the traditional European style and is an all purpose knife suitable for chopping, shredding, cutting, slicing and cubing all meat, fish and vegetables.
Handcrafted in Japan, Shun knives feature super sharp blades and comfortable handles that provide excellent support and control.

Shun's high quality cladded steel retains the flexibility and strength to take and keep a perfect edge ground at a fine 16° per side. Handles are made from durable ebony coloured PakkaWood that are moisture resistant and are specially D shaped to ergonomically fit to your hand.

NSF certified for use in commercial kitchens. Shun knives are provided with a limited lifetime warranty from manufacturing defects.
