First built in the 1950s, this English icon is still made the same way today, all by hand and not a circuit board in sight!! I have had my Dualit for years and have all the original elements. You choose the settings for slices of bread and also how well done you like your toast to be. The toast stays in the toaster, keeping warm until you wish to pop it up. Even the Queen uses the Dualit for her crumpets! This gorgeous toaster needs its own place for all to see!

Please note: the Copper finish on this toaster is applied differently to the copper colour of the kettle, so they will not match perfectly.

Before First Use:

Please read the instruction manual, it includes important safety information and will ensure you get the most from your Dualit Toaster.
Keep the manual and proof of purchase in a safe place.
Before you use your toaster for the first time, wash all parts accordingly to the cleaning instructions.
Position the toaster according to the safety precautions.
Your Dualit toaster has patented ProHeat elements. These elements need to be conditioned before toasting for the very first time. Then continue to toast as per the instructions.
To condition elements for use, let the toaster complete the first cycle without lslices of bread in it and allow to cool to room temperature. Some smoke may vent from the slots, this is not a fault and is perfectly safe. There may be a slight popping crinkling sound, this is due to heat expansion of the elements and is perfectly normal. Allow to cool to room temperature. Your toaster is now conditioned and ready for use.

Milly's top tip: Do not force your timer back if you've reached the desired 'toast'. Simply lever up your toast and leave the toaster run the cycle.
