LorAnn's Red Velvet Bakery Emulsion adds the rich taste and colour of classic red velvet cake in one easy step! Perfectly blended to give your favourite red velvet recipe an irresistible flavour and lush red colour. To colour and flavour your favorite red velvet recipe: For each 8 or 9-inch cake or 12 cupcakes, mix 1 tablespoon LorAnn Red Velvet Flavor to prepared batter and blend well (no additional colouring needed). Bake according to recipe directions.
The flavour in a bakery emulsion is suspended in water rather than being alcohol-based, meaning the flavour will adhere to the fat source and will not bake out. You read that right... The flavour does not bake out!
Emulsions can be used in batters (from cakes and cookies to sweet breads and even cheesecake) and in frosting or icing. The true-to-taste nature of emulsions allows you to have a better sense of the finished food before baking (and add a few extra drops of flavour as needed).
