Wüsthof Classic Knives
Let's talk about Wüsthof Classic
Wüsthof Classic is the knife range we keep pointing people back to - built in Solingen
since 1886, sharpened back to life year after year. There's a reason it's been the
workhorse of professional kitchens for over a century: the triple-rivet handle, the full-
bolster blade, the way it sits in your hand and just gets on with the job. Heavy enough
to do the work, balanced enough to do it all day.
Where to start
Most people start with the Classic Cook's Knife - the 20cm (about 8 inches) for
general use, or the 16cm for smaller hands and tighter boards. From there, a 10cm
Paring Knife handles the fiddly work, and a 20cm Bread Knife sorts crusty loaves and
ripe tomatoes alike. As your cooking grows, add a Santoku, Carving Knife, Super Slicer
or Utility — and the specialist blades (Boning, Tomato, Fish Filleting) are there for the
jobs that call for them.
The Classic Colour range
With Classic colour you have the same excellent performance with a pop of fun colour - same German steel, same triple-rivet handle, same forge in Solingen. The range covers the Cook's Knife, Santoku, Paring, Bread, Utility, the 4-Piece Steak Knife Set and the 8-Piece Knife Block Set, in tones like Coral Peach, Blueberry, Velvet Oyster and Himalayan Salt Pink. Need everything in one go? The Colour Block Set is the simplest way into a set of the best. Practical knives that happen to look beautiful on the bench.
