Fabricated from dark blue enameled cast iron, it has the same exceptional features as the regular round and oval ovens with self-basting spikes for continuous, natural basting. Its smooth ceramic bottom is usable on all heat sources and retains and redistributes heat for long periods of time.
Dishwasher safe, it needs no seasoning and it is ready to use immediately. The manufacturer acknowledges this item is dishwasher safe, but does not recommend washing it in the dishwasher often in order to prolong its life.
