1/2 cup castor sugar
1 cup whole milk
1 cup cream
1 cup perfectly ripe strawberries, hulled
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon juice
Pinch of sea salt
Place all your ingredients into the bowl of your food processor or blender and process until well combined. At this stage you can sieve out some or all of the strawberry seeds if you prefer a smooth ice cream.
Place in the fridge and chill for at least 3 hours. Then process in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. When churning has finished, transfer the mixture to a pre-chilled container before covering it tightly with a lid or plastic wrap. Return to the freezer to firm up completely.
That's it - super simple, and so delicious!!
