Using your Enamelled Dutch Oven
• An enamelled Dutch Oven is one of the most veratile cooking tools you can own!
• Use it on the stove (including induction), and in the oven up to 260˚ celsius.
• To start, choose a burner closest to the size of your Dutch Oven and preheat with a little oil before adding food. Do not preheat on your stovetop without liquid.
• Sauté, sear, fry, bake, grill and stir fry to your heart’s content.
• Unlike regular cast iron, the durable enamelled surface can handle acid and alkaline ingredients such as tomatoes, wines, and citrus ingredients.
• Use a low to medium heat only.
• Enamelled cast iron boasts exceptional durability, but dropping or knocking it against a hard surface can lead to damage or chipping. Refrain from using knives and other metal utensils in your pan, and, naturally, avoid instances of potential thermal shock, such as rapidly transitioning from extreme heat to cold.

To care for your enamelled Dutch Oven
To best preserve your piece’s finish, we recommend hand washing your enamel cookware.
• Enamelled cast iron can be easily cleaned with warm soapy water.
• Allow your Dutch Oven to cool, then use a gentle dish soap and scrub brush or pan scraper to remove stubborn food.
• For residue, soak the Dutch Oven for 15-30 minutes before handwashing.
• For stubborn stains, soak the interior of the cookware for 2-3 hours with a mixture of 3 tablespoons of household bleach per litre of water.
• Avoid citrus-based cleaners, including dishwashing detergents, as they can dull the exterior gloss of the product.
• Make sure the Dutch Oven is completely dry before storing in a cool, dry spot.
