Zero Japan, the home of the tea ceremony. Not only are they highly functional they are beautiful with clean lines and smooth organic shapes they are sure to make your cup of tea taste better as using tea leaves is just as easy as a tea bag. The teapots are designed for domestic & commercial use. These teapots are perfect when friends come round.
They feature a stainless steel infuser suspended from the lid rim doing away with tea strainers and tea bags and allowing you to pour a perfect leaf free cup of tea everytime. The hinged 18/10 stainless steel lid is removable for cleaning and clips back onto the rim in one easy action.
Zero Japan was established by Koji Inoue in 1992. Before that he worked for a major Japanese porcelain manufacturer where he could not develop his creativity. The original name of his own company was Beehouse which was changed in October 2006 into Zero Japan.
The glaze of the Zero Japan teapots is strong and smooth. The pots have been completely glazed, except for the Japanese style kikko crackle. In this style the bottom part of the pot or cup is left unglazed.
All the pots and cups are made of stoneware, which is baked at a much higher temperature and which is much stronger than earthenware.
