Combine above ingredients in a saucepan cover with water (or a combination of water and clear apple juice). Bring to a simmer and then lower heat until water is barely simmering but steaming nicely. Top up with water as necessary and watch to make sure it doesn’t boil dry.
If you have a large room to fragrance you may like to double or triple the recipe.
Other additions: 1 tsp grated nutmeg, lemon peel, 1 tbsp vanilla, freshly crusher juniper berries)
