Pan lids keep the heat in the pan. They reduce the cooking time, thus saving energy and at the same time serving as a splash guard. Frying using a pan lid is ideal for larger roasts or poultry. The glass lids are heat-resistant to 220°C, so can comfortably be used in the oven.
