Originally created at the Hotel Tatin in Lamotte-Beuvron, France in 1898, the Tarte Tatin is a caramelized apple tart with the pastry and apples cooked upside down. It can also be made with pears, peaches, plums, pineapple, tomatoes and other fruits.
Your Tarte Tatin will turn out rich and rustic in this beautiful pan. Crafted from heavy-gauge 1.5-2.5 mm copper exterior, it conducts heat superbly with precise temperature control to help sugar caramelize properly. The Stainless-steel interior is non-reactive and easy to clean.
