The Shun Classic 3 Piece Knife set is beautfully presented in a special Shun gift box. Each set contains 1 each of the following knives; Shun Classic Paring Knife 9cm, Shun Classic Utility Knife 15cm, Shun Classic Chefs Knife 20cm.
Handcrafted in Japan, Shun knives feature supersharp blades and comfortable handles that provide excellent support and control.

Each Shun knife blade features a special VG-MAX cutting core that is clad each side with 34 ultra thin layers of high carbon stainless steel (total 69 layers). The Damascus type pattern emerges during the initial hand grinding process and is completed with tiny beads of glass being blasted at the steel to produce a stunning finish.

Shun's high quality cladded steel retains the flexibility and strength to take and keep a perfect edge ground at a fine 16° per side. Handles are made from durable ebony coloured PakkaWood that are moisture resistant and are specially D shaped to ergonomically fit to your hand.

NSF certified for use in commercial kitchens. Shun knives are provided with a limited lifetime warranty from manufacturing defects.

Shun Classic's amazingly sharp blade is famous for both edge retention and ease of sharpening.  Each blade has a core of VG-MAX "super steel" clad each side with 34 layers of Pattern Damascus steel - a total of 69 layers of steel.  While the paterned layers enhance the knife's beauty, they also add durability and stain resistance, and reduce friction when cutting.
